Tulpar

mythical-horse · Kazakhstan · Central Asia

The tulpar is the winged horse of Kazakh and Turkic legend, a loyal steed of epic heroes who flies faster than the wind and shuttles between earth and the spirit realm. Its wings are said to be invisible by day, appearing only in darkness. Two golden tulpars adorn the national emblem of Kazakhstan, symbols of freedom, speed, and the open sky.
