Turtle Ancestor-Spirit of Navajo
Not attested as an ancestor-spirit or desert guardian in Diné (Navajo) belief. The desert tortoise (Ch'ééh digháhii) and mud turtle (Tsisteeł) do appear in Navajo symbolism — the turtle marks the center of the earth in the Tsidił stick game, and its shell signifies perseverance — but it is not a figure in the emergence story, and no guardian role is recorded.
