Turtle Deity of Kwakiutl
Not attested: no turtle deity appears in Kwakwaka'wakw (Kwakiutl) mythology or among its mountain and sea guardians. Their supernaturals — Raven the creator, Thunderbird, Kumugwe the undersea chief, and Sisiutl the three-headed serpent — contain no turtle, and turtles are rare in Northwest Coast tradition.
