Tusse
Tusse (also tuss) is a Norwegian folk-belief term for a vette, a supernatural guardian of the farmstead. In Nordland the farm vette was called tusse, alongside tuftekall, godbonde and tomte. Related is the haugtuss, a mound-dwelling being of the underjordiske who brings luck when respected and revenge when offended, as with Norwegian vetter generally.
