Tussehesten
Tussehesten (the tusse horse) is a supernatural horse owned by the underjordiske (tusser) in Setesdal folklore. The tusser kept their own horses, which were far superior to human horses — faster, stronger, and more beautiful. On certain nights, the tusse horses could be seen grazing in mountain pastures or running across the valley. A human who could catch and ride a tussehest would have the fastest horse in the valley.
