Tussepresten
Tussepresten (the tusse priest) is a unique figure in Setesdal folklore — the priest of the underjordiske (tusser/hidden people). According to Setesdal tradition, the tusser were not purely pagan but had their own Christian-like religion with their own priest who held rival church services in the valley. The Tusseprest competed with the human priest of Valle church for the souls of the valley.
