Twin War Gods
The Twin War Gods, also called the Little War Gods or Hero Twins, are the twin culture heroes of the Pueblo peoples, sons of the Sun who led the people from the underworld and cleared the world of monsters. Among the Zuni they are Ahaiyuta and Matsailema; at Isleta the Keresan twins Máw-Sahv and Oó-yah-wee wield the rainbow as a bow and lightning as arrows.
