Kintu

Kintu is the foundational mythological figure and first human in the oral traditions of the Baganda people of Buganda, Uganda. According to legend, Kintu was the only man on Earth, wandering alone with his cow until Nambi, daughter of the sky god Ggulu, descended from heaven via a rainbow and fell in love with him. After proving himself through a series of trials set by Ggulu—including identifying his cow among a vast herd and eating a massive meal without drinking—Kintu won Nambi's hand in marriage.
