The Calèche de Lallmatie is a spectral apparition seen in the village of Lallmatie. Local legend describes a ghostly carriage (calèche) drawn by two white horses and driven by two women dressed in white. The carriage is said to appear close to midnight, gliding silently through the streets. It is a classic ghost story that blends the elegance of the colonial era with the eerie nature of the supernatural, serving as a reminder of the island's vanished past In Uganda folklore, this figure is known among the Baganda people.
