Umm Al-Subyan
Umm al-Subyan ('mother of children') is a child-snatching jinniyyah of Arab folk belief, feared especially in the first forty days after birth, when protective amulets naming her are hung on newborns and mothers. A Yemeni mountain variant is a female jinn with one goat's leg and one donkey's leg and a long breast slung over her shoulder, who appears in the hills and can take any shape.
