Undersea Chief Haida

The Undersea Chief is the ruler of the ocean's wealth in the traditions of the Northwest Coast, master of salmon, halibut, and other sea creatures that sustain human life. While the Kwakwaka'wakw name him Komokwa and place him in a copper house beneath the sea, the Haida tell of their own masters of the undersea villages.
