Unktehi
Unktehi is the great horned water serpent of Lakota tradition, a dragon of the deep lakes and rivers that rises in storms to battle the Thunderbirds for mastery of the sky. When enraged it brings floods and earthquakes, rolling the waters over the land, and it plays a central part in Lakota accounts of the great flood.
