Urðarköttur
Urðarköttur (Ghoul Cat or Corpse Cat) is a monstrous feline in Icelandic folklore that grows from feral cats or white kittens born with their eyes open. According to tradition, any cat that goes completely feral will eventually become an urðarköttur. White kittens born with their eyes already open sink into the ground immediately after birth and re-emerge after three years as an urðarköttur. The creature grows to the size of an ox, has shaggy white or black fur, and kills indiscriminately. It has a particular taste for corpses and digs up graves in churchyards to eat the dead.
