Water Spirits
Water spirits are a broad, attested class across Canada's First Nations, though each people knows them by its own names. Among them are the horned great lynx of the Anishinaabe, the water babies of the north, and the Naitaka of Okanagan Lake. They rule the rivers, lakes, and ocean, and ceremonies are offered to them for safe passage and for the harvests of the water.
