Wats'usi (Twin War God)
Wats'usi (Twin War God) is the younger of the sacred twin deities in Zuni mythology, the swift and cunning brother of Ko'wituma. While his elder brother leads the charge against monsters and evil spirits, Wats'usi uses strategy, speed, and clever deception to outmaneuver threats to the Zuni people. He is associated with the west and the setting sun, and carries a shield of obsidian that deflects dark magic. During the Kachina ceremonies, Wats'usi appears as a dancer wielding a bow and a ceremonial knife, performing acrobatic feats that delight the crowds while reminding them of the eternal vig
