Wekufe
Wekufe (Mapuche: 'outside being') are malevolent spirits, a category of soulless entities from Minchenmapu (western evil realm). They cause illness, death, misfortune; escaped from cosmic Pillan battle. Controlled by kalku (sorcerers) to harm enemies. Only machi or Pillan can trap them. Represent consequences of breaking admapu (cosmic law). Central to Mapuche spiritual warfare.
