Werewolf
The English werewolf (Old English werwulf, 'man-wolf') appears in medieval chronicles as a human cursed or voluntarily transforming into a wolf. Gervase of Tilbury (c. 1210) wrote that in England men often changed into wolves during lunar cycles.
