Whale Ancestor-Spirit of Dogon
Not independently attested in Dogon tradition. Dogon are landlocked in Mali's Bandiagara cliffs; whales do not feature in their cosmology. Ancestor spirits are Nommo (amphibious) and Lebe (serpent). The 'whale ancestor-spirit guarding undergrounds' appears fabricated, possibly conflating Nommo's fish-tail with whale imagery.
