Wi
Wi is the Sun god in Lakota mythology, created by Inyan to provide sufficient warmth and light for Maka after Anpo's dawn light proved inadequate. Wi is one of the four primary Wakan Tanka deities and is considered above all other Wakan Tanka in some traditions. He is associated with the supreme power of creation and receives prayers for matters of great importance. In some accounts, Wi is identified as Wakan Tanka Kin (the Great Spirit) itself.
