Wildcat Guardian of Kazakh
Not independently attested as a guardian spirit in Kazakh folklore. The felines that carry mythic weight across the Altai and Turkic world are the lynx, the manul or Pallas's cat, and the snow leopard, dark beasts said in Altai tradition to have been created by the deity of the underworld and surrounded by hunting prohibitions. No specific wildcat guardian appears in Kazakh sources.
