Wildcat Nature-Spirit of Ojibwe
The Ojibwe wildcat spirit is Bizhiw (Pishiw or Pizhew), the lynx or bobcat of Anishinaabe tradition, also called the Underwater Lynx or Great Lynx. As a totem, Bizhiw is the animal of the Lynx Clan, and in myth the great underwater lynx is a powerful being of lakes and rapids who battles the Thunderbirds and can drag people beneath the water.
