Witch Bear
Not independently attested as a named 'witch bear' in any single Native American tradition, though related themes are widespread. Some tribes tell of bear-women who don a bearskin and become dangerous to their kin, and of bear shamans such as the Pomo Bear Doctors who drew power from bears. The Pawnee Bear Medicine Woman and Cherokee bear-clan stories are the closest genuine analogues.
