Wolf Nature-Spirit of Haida
The wolf is a foundational crest figure of the Haida, one of the principal clan emblems along with the Raven, Eagle, and Killer Whale, carved on poles and house fronts. In the legend of Wolf and the Sea, wolves pursue a sea creature underwater and are transformed, giving origin to the killer whales. No separate wolf deity is attested.
