Wuriupranili
Wuriupranili is the sun woman in Aboriginal Australian mythology, particularly among the peoples of northern Australia. In the Dreamtime, Wuriupranili traveled across the sky each day carrying a burning torch that brought light and warmth to the world. Her torch was so bright that it illuminated everything below. According to tradition, at the end of each day, she would dip her torch into the western ocean, creating the spectacular sunsets that paint the sky with red and orange.
