Yakshini
Yakshinis are female nature spirits in Hindu, Buddhist, Jain myth — attendants of Kubera, linked to trees (ashoka, sal), water, fertility. Can be benevolent (granting prosperity, children) or malevolent (causing illness, madness). Thirty-six with mantras in Uddamareshvara Tantra. Key in early Buddhist art as Salabhanjikas (tree-goddesses). Worshipped as tutelary deities. Pan-South Asian tradition.
