Yawm Saub (also Yer Shau or simply Saub — 'The One Who Knows Everything') is the high god and creator in Hmong cosmology. He is the supreme celestial being who created the world and all living things, though he is somewhat remote and delegates daily affairs to lesser spirits. Saub is depicted as polygynous, living in a celestial house with a garden and pigs — very human in his nature yet all-seeing and all-knowing.
