Yeti
Yeti (Meh-Teh in Nepali, Dzure in Bhutanese) is the 'Abominable Snowman' of Himalayan folklore — large ape-like creature of high mountains. Rooted in Sherpa, Tibetan, Nepali oral traditions as wild man of snows (Mi-te, Kang-mi). Not a single entity but a class of mountain hominids. Famous globally but locally a spirit-being, protective or dangerous.
