Yuch-Kurbustan is a supreme celestial deity of Altai cosmology, a being of pure light in the highest heavens, never shown in human form, only as divine radiance. It wields supreme authority, aids heroes, and judges gods and humans. Apex of the divine hierarchy in Altaian epic, it is invoked in the most sacred narratives—in the Maadai-Kara epic it aids Kögüdei Mergen against Erlik's forces.
