Not attested in Zuni or any North American tradition. This record is a garbled duplicate of the Yumboes, the fairy-like spirits of the Wolof and Lebou peoples of Senegal, as its linked story 'The Yumboes, the Fairy Spirits of Senegal' shows. No being named 'Yum' appears in Zuni ethnography; the entry's Zuni attribution and United States country are both incorrect.
