Zambur
Not independently attested as a scorpion spirit in Tajik folklore. The word zambur (zambūr) simply means 'wasp' in Persian, and no Tajik tale records a desert scorpion spirit by this name. Real scorpion lore in the region is confined to folk warnings about the black scorpion's sting and its place in proverbs and sayings.
