Zana
Zanë are the mountain nymphs of Albanian folklore, beautiful, fierce, and fiercely independent protectors of nature who appear near rivers, waterfalls, forests, and peaks. They guard the wilderness and may aid the worthy, but those who disrespect nature risk their wrath, which can bring madness or harm. Compare with the Greek muses and fairies across the Balkan mountains.
