Zduhać
Zduhać is a human from Slavic mythology. Born with a caul (amniotic membrane) on their head, a Zduhać is destined to protect their community from destructive weather. During storms, their spirit leaves their sleeping body to travel through the skies and battle evil forces or other Zduhaći who threaten their village's crops, livestock, and safety. These battles manifest on earth as hailstorms, whirlwinds, and thunderstorms. A Zduhać's physical body remains in a death-like trance during these astral battles, and if disturbed, the spirit cannot return and the person dies
