Zumwani
Zumwani is a Herero water spirit of Namibia, appearing as an exceedingly beautiful woman with reed-like hair wearing colorful cloth, dwelling in rivers, pans, and waterholes. She tests men's character at water's edge: rewarding the respectful with good rains, drowning the disrespectful. Associated with seasonal rains and water scarcity in Herero pastoral culture.
