The Belt of Tahmineh
A belt said in some tellings of the story to have been woven by Tahmineh of Samangan, mother of Sohrab, and given to the hero Rostam on the night of their meeting, binding their union. The motif varies sharply across recensions of the Shahnameh and in modern retellings, and Ferdowsi's own text describes no single canonical belt, so the object's particulars rest on later tradition rather than on the epic's lines.
