Cauldron of Rebirth
Pair Dadeni, the Cauldron of Rebirth, appears in the Second Branch of the Mabinogi, the story of Branwen daughter of Llŷr, where it is given to Bran the Blessed by a giant couple, Llassar Llaes Gyfnewid and his wife, who have carried it out of Ireland. Warriors slain in battle and cast into the cauldron are restored to life, though the revived come back unable to speak. When Bran invades Ireland to avenge the insult to Branwen, the cauldron is used to raise the enemy dead again and again, until Efnysien, the family's half-brother, destroys it by throwing himself into it and bursting it apart.
