Buganda Royal Drum (Mujaguzo)
The mujaguzo are the royal drums of the Buganda kingdom of Uganda, a set of tuned drums kept in a sacred drum house and regarded as the spiritual king of the kingdom. Ganda tradition holds that Buganda has two rulers, the human kabaka and the drums, which never die, and the drums are sounded to announce the birth of a prince, the death of a kabaka, the call to war, and the great ceremonies of state.
