Cauldron of the Dagda
Coire an Dagda, the cauldron of the Dagda, is one of the four treasures of the Tuatha Dé Danann carried into Ireland and described in the Lebor Gabála Érenn. The cauldron of plenty is said to be so generous that no company ever left it unsatisfied, feeding any number of people from its unfailing depths. It is named beside the spear of Lugh, the sword of Nuada and the stone of Fal as one of the great wonder-gifts of the Old Gods, and the four treasures together symbolise the powers of kingship, war and plenty that the Tuatha Dé Danann brought to the island.
