Draumstafir
Draumstafir, the 'dream staves', is an Icelandic magical stave recorded in the Huld manuscript, compiled by Geir Vigfússon at Akureyri in 1860, and drawn so that the sleeper receives good or revealing dreams. It belongs to the family of galdrastafir, the sigils of the Icelandic grimoire tradition that developed between the 16th and 19th centuries, and it was drawn on paper or carved on wood and placed with the sleeper or worn about the person.
