Gullinbursti
Gullinbursti, the 'golden-bristled boar', is the boar of the god Freyr, forged by the dwarven brothers Brokkr and Sindri in the same wager that produced the hammer Mjölnir. Its bristles are of gold and shine so brightly that they light the darkest night, and the boar can run through air and water faster than any horse, drawing Freyr's chariot in place of a steed. Snorri records that Odin judged Gullinbursti the best of all the dwarves' gifts, naming the boar along with its second name Slíðrugtanni, and that Freyr rode it to Baldr's funeral. The boar is also the ancestor of the golden boar of S
