Hagoromo
Hagoromo, the feather mantle, is the robe that lets a heavenly maiden, the tennyo, fly between the mortal world and the sky, and it is the central object of one of the most famous Noh plays, Hagoromo, set at Mio Bay. In the play a fisherman named Hakuryo finds a robe of feathers hanging from a pine and refuses to return it until the angel who owns it teaches him the dance of the moon palace, the promise of the robe's return drawing the divine world briefly into the human.
