Kubbestol
A Norwegian chair hollowed from a single upright log, with seat, back, and arms carved from the same piece of wood, often decorated with chip-carving and floral patterns. Kubbestol chairs stood in farmhouses as the seat of honor and were even used as the bridal chair at weddings. They show the woodcarver's art also seen in stave church portals and seter crafts.
