Nau Catrineta
The Nau Catrineta is the legendary ship of the great Portuguese romance 'A Nau Catrineta', which is lost at sea for years until the starving crew cast lots to decide who must be sacrificed to save the rest, and the lot falls on the captain-general. The devil, in the shape of the lookout or of a strange ship's boy, appears to claim his soul, but the captain, praying to the Virgin, is rescued by an angel, the demon is driven off, and the ship sails safely into port.
