Rósahjálmur
Rósahjálmur, the rose-helmet of the Huld manuscript, a protection stave said to make the bearer safe from any harm so long as it was worn. Its name suggests a floral or Christian-influenced design unlike the angular battle staves. It is one of the more intricate of the defensive galdrastafir recorded in the grimoires. The stave's effect was tied to the act of wearing: carried on the body, it was trusted to turn aside weapons, sickness, and hostile magic alike, and its round, blossom-like lines were sometimes read as an emblem of the Virgin's protection. Such helmet-staves belong to a wider fam
