Gáe Assail

Gáe Assail, the great spear of Lugh, is one of the four treasures the Tuatha Dé Danann brought to Ireland, and Lugh carried it into battle at the Second Battle of Mag Tuired against the Fomorians. The Lebor Gabála Érenn and Cath Maige Tuired describe it as a weapon of such force that no warrior could withstand it, and Lugh, who arrives at the battle as champion of the Tuatha Dé Danann, uses it in the rout of the Fomorian host.
