Tizerzai Brooch
The tizerzai is a large silver fibula brooch of the Amazigh (Berber) peoples of Morocco and Algeria, traditionally worn in pairs at the shoulders to fasten the tasseled woollen wraps and tunics of women. Triangular or delta-shaped, each brooch fastens with a long pin and is often richly worked with granulation, filigree, enamel and inset glass or coral, so that the clasp of a garment becomes a display of a family's wealth and craft.
