Valaskjálf
Valaskjálf, the silver-roofed hall of Odin described in Grímnismál, one of the god's dwellings raised by the gods themselves. Within it stands Hliðskjálf, the far-seeing high seat from which Odin can watch all the worlds. The hall is thus the setting for the All-Father's watchfulness and a model for later accounts of his court. Snorri places the hall among Odin's greatest houses, roofed with silver and crowned by the seat that gave the god knowledge of everything that happens among gods, elves, men, and the dead.
