Brer Rabbit Nibbles Up the Butter
Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, Brer Possum, and Brer Coon together churn butter and set it aside to share later. Brer Rabbit grows hungry and secretly eats all the butter. When the friends discover the butter is gone, Brer Rabbit blames Brer Possum and suggests they test who is guilty by having each lie down in the sun and see whose belly the butter melts from. Brer Rabbit arranges things so that Brer Possum ends up sitting on the butter smear, and when the sun warms him, the butter appears on his fur.
