Chimi Lhakhang and the Divine Madman Drukpa Kunley
Chimi Lhakhang (the Fertility Temple) in Punakha district, Bhutan, is associated with Drukpa Kunley (1455–1529), the 'Divine Madman' — a Buddhist monk famous for his outrageous methods of teaching. When three demonesses terrorized the Dochula Pass, Drukpa Kunley pursued them to Lobesa Hill, where the chief demoness Loro Duem transformed into a dog.
