El Chupacabra — The Goat-Sucker

The Chupacabra is a legendary cryptid that first appeared in Puerto Rico in 1995, blamed for mysterious livestock killings in which animals were found drained of blood. Descriptions vary: in Puerto Rico and Latin America it is often depicted as a reptilian, alien-like creature with spines along its back, standing 3-4 feet tall and hopping like a kangaroo, while in the US Southwest it is described as a hairless, dog-like animal with a pronounced spinal ridge, fangs, and claws.
