Genghis Khan and the Golden Whip
According to Mongol legend, the young Temüjin (later Genghis Khan) was riding alone in the steppe when he discovered a golden whip lying on the ground. When he picked it up, the sky thundered and Tengri spoke, telling him that this whip was a sign that he would unite all the Mongol tribes under one banner.
